Welcome to HyA Rent a Car. These are our terms and conditions. Please, read carefully before you make a booking with us.

Deposit:

To rent a vehicle with us, we require a deposit of $200 for small vehicles and $300 for large vehicles. This deposit is made at the time of collection of the vehicle, and will be returned at the end of the rental, as long as the vehicle is returned in the same condition that was delivered.

Booking:

To complete any reservation, a general deposit of $50 is required, which will be deducted from the total cost of the rental at the time of pick-up.

Cancellation policy:

If you need to cancel your reservation, do so with as much notice as possible. If you cancel your booking more than 48 hours in advance, we will not refund the deposit is usually $50. If you cancel your reservation with less that 48 hours in advance, you will be refunded the amount of the deposit.

Drivers:

All drivers must present a valid and current driver's license at the time of vehicle pick-up. They must also be at least 21 years of age and have at least one year of driving experience.

Use of Vehicle:

The rented vehicle may only be used by the registered driver and may not be driven by third parties without prior authorization from HyA Rent a Car. The vehicle may only be used within the Dominican Republic, unless otherwise agreed with HyA Rent a Car.

Extra Hour:

An additional fee will be charged for each additional hour of rental. The exact rate will depend on the vehicle rented and must be agreed upon prior to vehicle pick-up.

Maintenance and Fuel:

It is the renter's responsibility to keep the vehicle in good condition during the rental. The vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of fuel and must be returned in the same condition. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than delivered, an additional fee will apply.

Insurance:

All our vehicles are insured against serious damage. The insurances have an excess of $1000 for small vehicles and $1500 for large vehicles. The renter is responsible for the vehicle up to that amount. 

Damage and Losses:

It is the renter's responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is maintained in good condition during the rental. If damage or loss occurs to the vehicle, the renter will be responsible for covering the cost of repairs or replacement.
